Farticus at Black Metal Toga Party
Another weekend, another east bay house show: “Black Metal Toga Party” (at the Dog House).
They had metalheads, punks, a keg, bbq, torches, hi-octane liquids, volume… the usual stuff. As always the music varied a bit from crust to doom to fartcore. Let’s start it off with Badr Vogu:

Farticus played last, they are more “fartcore” than anything else. They had the most fireballs and flameouts, though not until about 4:20 into their set. The crowd didn’t really try to set each other on fire very much until about 13 minutes in. Farticus video after the jump…

Shitty Fucker had started the whole evening off. This was their first gig. They had to play early so they could leave early to get over to Gilman to open up for Neurotoxicity. They try to live up to their name:

Hey Roseman,
I really appreciate your coverage of the underground scene around town. I do wish, however, that you would move your operation over to YouTube or really any other video server besides Myspace. The videos work about half the time and are always choppy no matter how good my internet connection is … just a suggestion. Thanks for all the great videos! I hope to actually be able to watch one without pulling my own hair out sometime!
One reason i do not typically use Youtube is they have a strict 10 minute cutoff for all videos (even for artists profiles). Most of mine are between 12 and 20 minutes long. At some point i may start putting shorter ones on Youtube instead… will keep it in mind
