New Film to Feature Death Metal Artwork

If you though Daniel Craig was scary as James Bond, just wait until you see Dream House. Apparently he and Naomi Watts are going to star in some “psychological, suprernatural thriller” (i.e., running away from ghosts) in 2011.

The film will be using an assortment of Death Metal poster artwork from MONSTROSITY vocalist and metal illustrator Mike Hrubovcak of Visualdarkness.Com as background set dressing for a location in the film. There is a young metal couple that share an apartment together and have death metal posters covering their walls. Among Hrubovcak’s artwork that will be used in the film are designs for the bands Decrepit Birth, Sinister, Braindrill, Rumpelstiltskin Grinder, Abraxas, Aurora Borealis, Tenderizer, Polterchrist, Azure Emote, Party.San Festival and many others.

I have no idea how the posters tie into the plot, but if I had to guess, I would say that the ghost makes the posters come alive and play some ripping Death Metal (which Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts obviously hate) and forces the couple to move out of their apartment. The ghost is then free to play its Death Metal collection as loud as it wants without any roommates bitching about the volume.

Dan Spiteri is the owner and main shenanigan distributor of Bay Area Metal Scene. When he's not blasting his hearing into oblivion, you can find him doing "outdoorsy" stuff like skiing, bike riding and drinking cheap beer.
