The issue is that for some people the technology is the solution, rather than the problem. Many small-time artists have been able to stay alive simply because they could distribute their content for free on the internet. 

I think technology is to blame, but only in the sense that it has enabled the music industry to be flooded with competition. It wasn&#039;t the mp3 revolution that broke the camel&#039;s back, it was the 100 million other bands that joined the party.</description>

		<description>Great article, some really good points brought up. This is such an interesting issue to discuss because no one knows what the hell is going to happen. Its the technology that made this a problem. If digital media never developed to this point, then this wouldn&#039;t be an issue. But since it has become so easy to distribute product via the internet, what some might call &quot;stealing&quot; has really just become mass &quot;sharing&quot;. At this point, its a moral or philosophical issue. Just because its available, does that mean we should take it?</description>
