A non-profit group in Sweden has recruited several bands to partake in a calendar shoot to raise awareness about animal rights. Among the bands included are Amon Amarth, Opeth and Hammerfall. Check out Johan looking totally viking hugging this cat:
In this unique calendar 12 Swedish acts takes a stand for the animals. The participating stars, all of whom volunteered for this project, are Amon Amarth, Crucified Barbara, Dead by April, Dia Psalma, Hammerfall, Mando Diao, Millencolin, Motörhead, Opeth, Sonic Syndicate, The Hives and The Soundtrack of Our Lives.
I have no idea what the poster says, but some of the words look close to English. If I had to guess I would say,“Swedish Rockers For Darren’s Rat.” I wonder who Darren is?
…I need that calendar. Also “djurens rätt” = animal rights. Sort of.
This is a friggin’ awesome campaign — I wish rockstars in the states could get behind something like this, instead of affiliating themselves with those PETA douchebags and letting them ruin the cause.
Tja, “djurens rätt” betyr “animal rights” på norsk og svenska! (Yeah, …. means …. in Norwegian and Swedish!)
A MUST HAVE!!!!
