Alice in The Skye With Diamonds
I was seriously considering open a can of haterade upon hearing that the Deftones were playing with Alice in Chains and Mastodon. However, seeing as how I’ve never seen them perform, I will hold back judgment (well, most of my judgment) until I actually watch them live.
It’s not that the Deftones are that bad, they’re just kind of…boring. Granted, their new stuff is way better than their old Nu Metal stuff, but it’s just too hard to overlook the fact that the band basically helped Nu Metal explode in popularity in the 1990’s and early 2000’s.
Personally, all I need are Alice in Chains and Mastodon – but if the “powers that be” want to try and resurrect Nu Metal in 2010, then have at it Hoss. I’ll be at the beer garden.
