How exactly does one “amputate” that part of one’s body? I guess Satan Von Murdercock of Florida death metal band, Cunt Amputation will have to fill us in on that one.
I listened to a few of their tunes(?) on their myspace page, and it’s obvious that there is supposed to be a comedy element to their get-up – kind of like Tenacious D meets Cannibal Corpse. Check out the song(?) Collect Call From Satan, or Shredding in the Key of Satan – you’ll see what I mean.

Thanks to my brother in the Czech Republic for pointing out one of their grindcore metal bands called Destructive Explosion of Anal Garland. Not only is their band name ridiculous, their music, song titles, lyrics and logos all apparently came out of the same loony-bin. It’s good to point fun at yourself every once in a while, but these guys take it to a whole new level!

Destroy Destroy Destroy. It just rolls right off your tongue. It’s not as bad as say, Anal Cunt, but it’s way too close to Attack Attack for comfort. I’ll just call them Triple-D, which I’m sure is a term that most folks would agree conjures up fond memories.
Unlike most of the bands I’ve mentioned with ridiculous names, Triple-D actually sound good. They’re like a melodic Thrash Power Metal band from Tennessee. Still, what’s with the unicorn skeleton in the logo?

Cliteater is a grindcore (shocker!) band from Europe. I don’t know how I found these guys…definitely not through Google. Extra points for ridiculous logo to accompany said ridiculous name:
I supposed it’s pretty damned hard to come up with a band name, especially these days. Luckily, if you’re in a death metal band you can pretty much get away with calling yourself anything you want to: “Dying Fetus“, “Anal Cunt“, even the name “Cannibal Corpse” was a pretty shocking name for its time. It goes without saying then that Squash Bowels is a perfectly appropriate name for a grindcore death metal band. It takes a lot to surprise me with band names these days, so good job Squash Bowels. Oh, and the tunes aren’t too bad either.
